Riad Farnatchi has been created out of five small Riads in the heart of the oldest part of Marrakech.
Houses have stood on the site for many centuries and some of our walls go back over 400 years.
The current owner, a retired award winning British hotelier, spent two years converting the first three riads into a holiday home for his friends and family. He only decided to change it to it's current use when approached by the ex manager of one of Marrakech' most respected hotels.
Lynn suggested that it would fill a gap at the very top of the Riad market in the Medina of Marrakech, by combining the wonderful interiors with her outstanding experience of hotelkeeping in Marrakech.
Riad Farnatchi now has the feel of a beautiful, highly individual, private house, but the facilities of a world class 5 star "boutique" hotel.
If the building (and Marrakech) is physically capable of meeting your wildest dreams, we will do our best to ensure that they become a reality at Riad Farnatchi. Moroccan riads ‘guesthouses’ have to collect 2 taxes upon their guests:
- Tourism Promotion Tax (TPT): the amount of the tax depends on the riad category, 0.00 dirhams per people per night for Riad Farnatchi. That tax is collected by the riads and integrally put back into Morocco National Tourist Office.
- City Tax (from January 2008): like the hotels and restaurants, ‘guesthouses’ must now collect the City tax. The amount of the City tax is 0.00 dirhams per people (older than 12 y-o) and per night for Riad Farnatchi.
Reservation and cancellation policies of the riad
Cancellation Policy :
Cancellations received 21-30 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 30% of total projected room costs.
Cancellations received 11-20 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of total projected room costs.
Cancellations received 0-10 days before the confirmed arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of total projected room costs.
Cancellation fees will be charged to the credit card supplied during the reservation process.
